Gaza Death Toll Rises as Israel Continues to Breach Ceasefire
The ministry's daily report also indicated that 34 additional people were injured during the same period as a result of Israeli fire.
According to reports, officials did not specify the exact circumstances surrounding the latest casualties. The deaths and injuries occurred amid continued allegations of ceasefire violations through shelling and gunfire despite a truce that has been in effect since Oct. 10, 2025.
Health Ministry data showed that since the ceasefire took effect, at least 978 Palestinians have been killed and 3,097 others have sustained injuries in Israeli attacks.
According to reports, the ceasefire followed two years of war that began on Oct. 8, 2023. Beyond the human toll, the conflict left extensive destruction across Gaza, damaging approximately 90% of civilian infrastructure. The United Nations has estimated that rebuilding the territory will require around $70 billion.
